R.E.A.C.H. Community Economic Development Corporation, Inc is a Florida certified 501(C)3 Community Base Nonprofit Corporation located in Winter Haven and/or Polk County. We offer services that will not deny any person on the basis of race, creed, sex, religion, or national origin.

 

Our Mission

The mission of R.E.A.C.H. Community Economic Development Corporation Inc. is to develop economic opportunities that foster independence and self-sufficiency through innovative hard work. We want to create careers not just jobs.

 

Company Overview

The purpose for this corporation is to operate as a foundation operating exclusively charitable and educational to our community and surrounding areas offering the following programs:

  • To raise the economical, educational, social and health levels of the residents of Polk County, Florida, including the minority Caribbean community. A community who are substantially unemployed, underemployed, or whose income is below federal poverty guidelines.

  • To foster community-wide interest and concern for the problems of said residents to the end that (a) educational and economic opportunities may be expanded; (b) sickness, poverty, crime and environmental degradation may be lessened. (c) The educational, cultural and health levels for said residents may be elevated.

 

R.E.A.C.H. Community Economic Development Corporation Inc. is boldly attacking real and unreal stereotypes, addressing and removing stumbling blocks, offering empowerment and self-direction on a path to economic sufficiency. We enthusiastically feel we have the desire, capacity and the ability to penetrate cultural resistance, language confusion, and the distrust people of color have historically towards government.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Prepare complex grants for nonprofit organizations for funding, ensuring full compliance with funding agency requirements and tight deadlines.

  • Act as a Professional Author to client's organizations via correspondence.

  • Design programs tailored for organization's mission and vision.

  • Train local nonprofit organizations and associations.

  • Provide ergonomic counseling

  • Educate employees on proper techniques to provide services.

  • Conduct group sessions for board member training.

  • Communicate concepts to clients using layman's terms to facilitate understanding.

  • Oversee front-office staff and operations and provide impeccable customer service.

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plan for business

  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations as chief administrator for community based organizations.

  • Perform Facility Maintenance.

  • Offer Staff Supervision and Training.

  • Manage finances: accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, insurance billing, budgeting.

  • Maintain compliance with all funding agencies.
